Summer McKean has worked with KYL in providing Of Counsel legal representation to patients in the Oregon State Hospital system since 2018. Summer has practiced in Oregon since 2017, focusing on alternative dispute resolution and access to legal services for underserved communities. As an experienced mediator, she particularly enjoys working with young people, whether through restorative justice mediation, youth and family mediation, or involvement with community literacy programs. Summer is proficient in Spanish which allows her to work closely with Spanish-speakers in mediation, on immigration issues, and with simple estate planning.
